valentines day big chocolate apathetic to avoid sadness

I get so many ads for valentines day themed things. It's kind of ridiculous that if I don't want to be sad I need to be increasingly apathetic. If I try to be as happy about valentine's day as "Big Chocolate" wants me to be, I'll come off as a weirdo.
