temptations of the flesh

From the bible: > New International Version For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

the whole concept of having to resist temptations of the flesh doesn't make sense to me

I have no problem resisting anything that uses the word 'flesh'

Or just the temptation of the thing that turns you on like “temptation of the upper lip bite” or “temptation of the way you churn butter” or temptation of the hard work you put in to raise our children and take care of our household
